Biography:

Dr. Gerhard Plenert, former Director of Executive Education at the Utah State University Shingo Institute, delivers more than 25 years of professional organizational transformation expertise, having helped companies and government agencies attain enterprise excellence using the Shingo Model. An internationally recognized expert Gerhard has “written the book” on supply chain management (e.g.: finite capacity scheduling, advanced planning and scheduling, and world-class management). His experience involves significant initiatives with Genentech, Johnson & Johnson, Aerojet Rocketdyne, Shell, Aramco, Sony, Cisco, Microsoft, Seagate, NCR Corporation, Ritz-Carlton, and the US Air Force along with numerous other branches of the Department of Defense. Additionally, Dr. Plenert consulted with major manufacturing and distribution companies (e.g.: Hewlett-Packard, Black & Decker, Raytheon, Motorola, Applied Magnetics, Toyota, AT&T, IBM, and Kraft Foods). Featuring more than 14 years of academic experience with over 150 articles and 22 books, Gerhard has written MBA and operations planning textbooks for the United Nations.
