New York City, New York Jun 28, 2022 (Issuewire.com) - Feral Romance is a fresh female band with five members. They’ve got a new sound that drives fans crazy. “How Did You Get So Good” is their first song, available on all streaming platforms starting August 5th.
“How Did You Get So Good” makes us feel chill; proud, and sexy. It starts with a freeing guitar solo that steps into what feels like a glamorous party plane taking off. We like to listen to it, imagining the perfect partner, the love, the smiles, the romance we pine for.
The drum comes in walking like everyone is waiting to know who just entered the party. But there’s a steady pace, so something is going to happen. There are butterflies in the audience’s bellies. Whoever just walked in has sunglasses and an emotionless swag.
There’s a shift when the song exclaims “body’s on fire”, a great sing-along line, and personality erupts. The band comes alive. The roar echoes for miles and emanates a powerful image of beautiful bodies passionately aflame from desire. And we can acknowledge Feral Romance’s beauty.
Feral Romance is a sight for sore eyes. Their looks are alluring, and their personalities are all deviant, adventurous, and fun-loving. Their illuminating energy is open to sharing the wild escapades life brings us. We love to experience their different personalities shining together.
The lusty romance anthem has glimmers of melancholy, admitting “been quite some time since I’ve been satisfied”. And there are embers of self-awareness, “rolling around the same way” and “know I don’t stand a chance”. There is also distrust for the love interest in this song. There must be something else going on besides just love here. There may be more lust than love.
The second verse reveals the love interest may be calculating, perhaps manipulative. The bridge whispers a possibility of infidelity, but the music pulls us back in and makes us feel good again, for the chorus.
This release is reflective of human cycles- embracing love, combating love, and looking to feel alive. The characters are strong and yet, we can all relate to the feelings.
The band sold out their first performance at The Bitter End on May 29th. Their next performance is at Berlin NYC on August 13th.
