Being under challenging circumstances for most of his life, David Verity did not have his successes handed down to him on a silver platter. Struggling at home, David found it hard to maintain being a Straight-A and honor roll student in the class. Due to his sleeping disorder, he was forced out of school, despite his good grades. David was then homeschooled. With the time he spent being alone, that was the time where he found his love for music.
Having written, produced and recorded his first album in a makeshift basement studio by the time he turned 16, David had become one of the most sought after R&B artists on MP3.com. By 17, MTV camera crews were at his house documenting his ascent in the online music world. Because of the achievements he attained during his early phases, he sold numerous albums around the world and eventually rose to number one in the Billboard’s Top Independent Talent Chart. He was then ranked as the number one artist on various platforms.
His achievements in the music industry continued to prosper while he finished homeschool. When he was about to graduate, he was given a moment’s notice to decide whether to participate in his graduation ceremony or to perform at the world’s mecca of entertainment - the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada, with his name in lights over the strip.
As an artist pursuing his passion, he chose to be on stage.
But life was not all sunflowers and roses for David. When his sister was going through tough times, David and his mom decided to take care of her children. He attended to the children while his mom tried to make ends meet. By the time they left him and his mother’s care, that was when David realized his true calling - to help others in need.
