Sheridan, Wyoming Sep 9, 2026 (Issuewire.com)  - DataCouch Launches Vision AI Solutions for Manufacturing

The new AI solution turns existing factory cameras into real time operational intelligence, with edge and on premise deployment and a measurable outcome within 90 days.

DataCouch, a global AI and data consulting, solutions, and enablement company, today announced the launch of Vision AI for Manufacturing, a new solution that helps manufacturers detect defects, expose production bottlenecks, prevent stock losses, tracks and improves worker productivity, and improves workplace safety while a shift is still running.

Most facilities already collect machine data and record video. The expensive gaps happen between people, machines, and material, and they are usually discovered after the opportunity to intervene has passed. Output falls without a visible reason. A missed step or an incorrect component travels across an entire shift before final inspection catches it. Inventory losses surface only during reconciliation. Safety and compliance rules weaken between inspections.

DataCouch's Vision AI solution is built to close those gaps using infrastructure manufacturers already own.

Built on existing cameras, not a new hardware programme

The solution connects to cameras that are already installed. Standard RTSP and ONVIF feeds connect directly, and older CCTV can often be bridged with an encoder. DataCouch assesses resolution, positioning, lighting, and network access first, and recommends additional hardware only where a specific problem genuinely requires it.

Deployment follows the economics of the operation rather than a fixed template. Video can be processed on edge devices or on premise servers inside the facility, including air gapped environments, with many deployments transmitting only approved events and metadata. Hybrid and cloud models are evaluated on cost, latency, retention, privacy, and governance, never imposed as a requirement.

One architecture, configured per problem

The solution runs on a single reusable architecture across five stages: Sense, Stream, Perceive, Reason, and Act. It ingests existing cameras, PLCs, sensors, and telemetry, moves events through secure real time streaming, then detects, tracks, classifies, and measures activity. Zone rules, time rules, and SOP logic turn detections into operational meaning, and the Act stage writes alerts, dashboards, and records back into ERP, MES, WMS, maintenance, and safety workflows through standard APIs.

Initial solution areas include visual quality inspection, production and workflow visibility, stock loss prevention, safety and compliance monitoring, warehouse and intralogistics, and equipment and process monitoring.

Proven on real operational problems

The solution is drawn from delivered client engagements in manufacturing, apparel, and precision production. In one capacity engagement, camera based workstation and production flow visibility surfaced waiting, activity gaps, and hour to hour output variation, supporting a 45 percent increase in production with the same workforce. In a precision manufacturing cleanroom, visual verification at the airlock replaced manual supervision with person level, shift level compliance evidence and real time alerts.

"Manufacturers do not have a data problem, they have a timing problem," said Bhavuk Chawla(https://www.linkedin.com/in/bhavuk-chawla/), CEO and Founder of DataCouch. "The information needed to prevent a defect, a bottleneck, or a safety incident is already passing in front of a camera. Our job is to turn that into an action while the shift is still running, using the cameras and systems the plant already has."

From one camera to production in 90 days

Engagements begin with a one camera assessment. DataCouch reviews one live or recorded feed against one operational metric the client cares about and returns a feasibility read on camera position and lighting, a definition of what will be detected and measured, the baseline approach, and an estimate of what the improvement opportunity may be worth, before any wider commitment.

The delivery pathway then runs in four stages: prove a measurable signal within 14 days, calibrate zones, thresholds, and operating rules by day 45, integrate dashboards, alerts, and writebacks by day 75, and hand over runbooks, governance, training, and a retraining process by day 90.

Solutions are configured to monitor processes, zones, and material flow rather than to profile individuals. On edge processing, masking, role based access, and retention limits are agreed with the client's governance team, and every engagement includes documented data handling rules aligned to client policy and applicable regulation.
