Newtown, Pennsylvania Aug 20, 2024 (Issuewire.com) - The Council Rock South High School Marching Band proudly announces the acquisition of a dedicated marching band trailer, thanks to the tireless efforts of the Council Rock South Band Parents Association. This new trailer represents a significant milestone in the band's history and will greatly enhance their ability to transport equipment and props to various events. The marching band trailer also symbolizes the Council Rock School District Board of School Directors’ commitment and support for the advancement of the arts at Council Rock South High School.
For over five years, the Council Rock South Band Parents Association has been dedicated to fundraising for this essential piece of equipment. Their perseverance and commitment have now culminated in the acquisition of a fully dedicated trailer, marking a significant upgrade from their previous reliance on a rented box truck.
Beth Schondelmeyer, President of the Band Parents Association, expressed her gratitude: “We are thrilled to see our vision come to life. This trailer is not just a vehicle; it's a symbol of hard work, dedication & commitment to our marching band family. The support from our community has been truly overwhelming. We’re incredibly grateful for everyone’s contributions and the strong support from our School Board.”
Marching Band Director John Burns also highlighted the impact of the new trailer: “The trailer will transform the way we manage our equipment and props. It will streamline our logistics and ensure that our students and performances are always at their best. We are deeply appreciative of the support from the Band Parents Association and the School Board.”
The new trailer is crucial for transporting equipment and props to and from various competitions, football games, and special events, including recent highlights such as performing at a Trenton Thunder Game and the upcoming Newtown Holiday Parade. This enhancement will significantly improve the band's operational efficiency and overall performance experience.
To celebrate this achievement, a Marching Band Trailer Dedication Ceremony will be held on Monday, August 26, at 6:00 PM at Council Rock South High School, located at 2002 Rock Way, Holland, PA 18966. Members of the Council Rock School District Board of School Directors as well as Council Rock South High School Principals will be present to join in the festivities. The press is invited to attend and cover this exciting event.
