The Coronavirus pandemic forced Manny Larcher and his team to adapt to this new world quickly. They went from an office in Franklinton, a neighborhood in Columbus, Ohio, to work from home and coffee shops if lucky.
According to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the average number of vaccine doses being administered across the United States per day topped two million for the first time on Wednesday. A month ago, the average was about 1.3 million. President Joe Biden set a goal for the country shortly after taking office to administer more than 1.5 million doses a day, which the nation has now comfortably exceeded. As of today, 54 million people have received at least one dose of a Covid-19 vaccine. Johnson & Johnson’s one-shot vaccine was authorized for emergency use on Saturday, but those doses do not appear yet in the C.D.C. data. You can read more from NY Times.
Collaborate and Elevate hosted networking events where hundreds would show up leading up to the COVID-19 pandemic. After putting the events on hold, helping to stop the coronavirus spread, founder Manny Larcher began to receive several messages and emails encouraging him to continue.
“The community really just started to overwhelm us with emails and just encouragement to kind of keep Collaborate and Elevate going. It really enabled us to continue to share relevant, helpful free information, but really give those who want that one-on-one attention,” he shared with Spectrum News.
Collaborate and Elevate grew over 8000% in 2020 and now has members in 8 countries and dozens of states. Students, professionals, aspiring business owners, and entrepreneurs are taking advantage of new jobs, a chance to meet new customers, mentorship, and having access to a platform. Collaborate and Elevate hosts monthly events held three different times to complement the schedules of members around the world, as well as shares other helpful events (for example; business accelerators, Founder Q&A’s, and more!)
Gaea Kassatly, the founder of GK Law Co, said to Spectrum News after a few months being a member, “It worked out very well in the sense that I got my ideal clients this way, too. Tech-savvy entrepreneurs who appreciate, you know, more innovative modern law firms. I got more than I asked for were a lot of my business started to come from Collaborate and Elevate network.”
There’s no sign of slowing down. The pandemic continues to impact the lives of many, and Collaborate and Elevate will continue to roll out new features to help the community all while keeping them affordable or even at no charge.
