“We are honoured to host the very first Project Zero Concert at King Tut’s, in the host city of COP26, Glasgow. It is so important that we tackle climate change now and, this concert series will help draw attention to the fact our oceans are our biggest weapon in fighting the climate emergency.” – Susan Kerr, King Tut’s.

“We’re enormously grateful to DF Concerts and these incredible Scottish bands who are lending their exceptional voices to help us restore the ocean and turn the tide on the climate crisis. The ocean is our planet’s biggest carbon sink. It is estimated that 93% of the earth’s CO2 is stored or cycled through the ocean. The ocean holds 97% of Earth’s water and supports a great abundance of life on the planet. Today the ocean is sick. We need to restore the ocean to health to save our planet. We can reverse the damage, but we must act now. “–
Michele Clarke, CEO/Founder, Project Zero

The ocean is the biggest carbon dioxide absorber on the planet. With only 2% currently protected, the ocean has become much less efficient in the fight to tackle the climate crisis. Together with a team of leading scientists, Project Zero have developed individual projects from the Arctic to the Antarctic which set out to put 30% of the ocean under protection to turn the tide on the climate crisis.

"The ocean covers approximately 71% of Earth’s surface. It’s our biggest ally in the fight against the climate crisis. We need everyone’s help in restoring the ocean to save our planet." – Alexandra Richards, DJ, Model and Project Zero Board Member

"The ocean is vital to all life on Earth. At Project Zero, we’re working to protect and restore the ocean to create a sustainable future for life on Earth. "– Georgia May Jagger, Model, Entrepreneur and Project Zero Ambassador

About Project Zero (www.weareprojectzero.org)

Project Zero is a global movement supported by renowned scientists, business leaders, campaigners, culture-makers and ocean experts, who are all working together to awaken the fight for the ocean. The ocean is our planet’s life support system. Every second breath you take comes from the ocean.
The ocean makes the clouds that make rain and snow give us fresh water. Over one billion people daily rely on the ocean as a source of food, and countless others for their livelihoods. The ocean stores and cycles 93% of Earth’s CO2 and regulates our planet’s climate. It represents 99% of all liveable space on our planet, yet only 2% is strongly protected. No ocean, no life. The greatest threat to our planet is climate change and if we don’t take action now, the collapse of civilization and the extinction of much of the natural world is on the horizon. The ocean needs safe havens where it can replenish, and fortify itself against climate change, overfishing and pollution. That means strongly protecting at least 30% of the ocean from the Arctic to the Antarctic, coastal to high seas areas and everywhere in between.
