Collaboration In Aging, an innovative new Conference, works to solve issues faced by the longevity industry.

Focusing on modernizing a 50-year-old industry with fresh ideas, bright spot discussions, and new technology.

Denver, Colorado Jan 24, 2022 (Issuewire.com)  - The COVID-19 pandemic continues to create new challenges for the providers, staff, and care recipients of aging services, including home care, home health, senior living, skilled nursing, and hospice providers.  In response to our ever-changing world, a group of senior care leaders created the  Collaboration in Aging Conference coming to Denver in February designed to deliver solutions to change and improve care for seniors.

This two-day event brings together people across all roles in senior care to collaborate and provides attendees real-time collaboration opportunities between those impacting change, solving problems, and providing suggestions for hands-on caregiving.  "Senior care is one of the most exciting, interesting, and meaningful places to be and it is undergoing a massive transformation worldwide, accelerated by COVID,” said Francis LeGasse, President and CEO of Assured Assisted Living.  Prior to the COVID pandemic, 60 percent of Senior Living CEOs were planning to retire within five years, also prompting massive new changes across the industry.

The Collaboration in Aging Conference is itself a collaboration between three aging services-focused organizations, the Mavericks of Senior Living, the Greater Denver Placement and Referral Alliance (GDPRA), and the Colorado Assisted Living Association (CALA). The event will be held in Denver, Colorado on Feb. 10-11 at the Westin in Denver Downtown.  Attendees will learn how others are solving problems and tackling the challenges of the industry.  They also will experience the senior care journey in a completely new way and gain insights into solutions they can put to work immediately. Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet the top Colorado elected officials that are responsible for creating and enforcing aging industry regulations.

“Public Relations has become extremely important for senior care since the pandemic. Providers have had to review crisis management plans and implement real-time COVID updates to the families they serve.  We have been working diligently to help facilities improve their communication.” said Kelli Easterling VP of Sales, Inspired Senior Living, Inspired Southerner Public Relations.

Participants can explore the Village and Immersion Lab, and meet with more than 40 industry-leading and startup companies. These companies provide resources in senior care to help streamline workloads.  Representatives from assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, independent living, placement agencies, social workers, home care, hospice, older adults, and family caregivers will attend the conference.   "The Collaboration in Aging Conference is about creating an experience of today’s senior care journey in a completely new way, so we can work together to develop modern and forward-thinking solutions for all," said Katherine Wells, Managing Partner at Collaboration in Aging.

Special keynote speakers for the event include Louie Gravance, a former head of Disney Customer Service Training and Author of "Service is a Superpower!"  Louie will be sharing and inspiring attendees on how to show up fresh and create a new experience for each interaction.  Charles Turner, CEO of Kare will share research findings on staffing issues, address challenges of the hiring crisis in long-term care, and illuminate options to become the employer of choice.

"The Colorado Assisted Living Association is excited to participate and expand our reach beyond our stand-alone conference,” said Peter Brissette, Partner at Collaboration in Aging. “We are pleased to join with other organizations to have a bigger impact in the industry."  Collaborate, Educate and Inspire!  Be the change you wish to see in the world of senior care, register today through the link below or visit (collaborationinaging.com) for more information.
