Clarence Whetstone’s Help Me Understand the Bible will be seen @ the Bologna Children’s Book Fair from March 21-24, 2022

The book urges people to keep an open mind while reading the holy book and not use the lens of logic

Bologna, Italy Mar 21, 2022 (Issuewire.com)  - Help Me Understand the Bible by Clarence Whetstone was released in 2014 to help people comprehend the holy book not by using logic but by being receptive to the intended meaning of the book written in the Middle East several hundred years ago.

The book will be seen at the 59th edition of the Bologna Children’s Book Fair, the world’s biggest publishing event held in Italy.

“Many times, we approach the Bible with logic, but we forget that this was originally written in the Middle East; thus, we lose a lot of meaning in translation and given our different cultures, that also has a huge impact on our understanding,” said Clarence.

The narration and pictures are both beautiful and compelling. The author urges readers to allow our spirits to be blessed by the Creator who is reaching out through his Son, Jesus, and His Holy Spirit. Some readers have defined the book as easy to read, which offers a fascinating point of view, while some have described it as excellent.

Clarence was raised in a pastor’s family where the record of God’s activities, the Bible, was revered, studied, and memorized. “If we read the Bible trying to force our science and logic, we will often be disappointed. Instead, we need to learn to read it devotionally, with our right brain,” he said.

The book is available for purchase on Amazon and Barnes&Noble.

NOTES TO THE EDITOR

About the Author

Raised in a pastor’s family, becoming a pastor seemed the right path for Clarence; however, one year in theological seminary became confusing, and she decided to leave the ministerial training. While teaching English and retraining for speech and language therapy, she wrote for Sunday school lessons and had several opportunities to substitute preach. The questions of seminary and Sunday School class forced her to work through what she believed and why and took her ten years to solve those problems. She believes Bible is the record of God’s reaching into our world to touch many lives.
