Marietta, Georgia May 8, 2026 (Issuewire.com) - 34-Year Sports Card Veteran Christopher Longshore to Unveil Next-Generation Authentication Technology at Sold-Out May 16th Collectibles Show
Founder of Next Frontier Certifications / NFC Authenticators brings decades of dealer experience, sports memorabilia history, NFC verification, and tokenized real-world asset vision to Dream Creative Space in Marietta, Georgia
Christopher Longshore is a 34-year veteran sports card dealer, collector, entrepreneur, and authentication innovator with deep roots in the collectibles industry dating back to the early 1990s. He began in the sports card business at just 15 years old and quickly grew from a young dealer into one of the largest sports card dealers in the South during the 1990s.
At the height of the hobby’s expansion, Christopher owned and operated three storefront locations and built direct industry relationships with major manufacturers including Topps, Leaf, and other leading trading card companies. His business experience spans buying, selling, grading, authenticating, breaking major collections, running shows, operating retail locations, and working directly with collectors, athletes, manufacturers, and hobby professionals.
Throughout his career, Christopher was blessed to travel and work around some of the most legendary names in sports and collectibles, including Mickey Mantle, Muhammad Ali, Joe Frazier, Joe Namath, Hank Aaron, the 1995 World Series Atlanta Braves, and many others. That experience gave him a rare, first-hand view of the sports memorabilia industry from both the collector side and the professional side.
Christopher’s entrepreneurial journey continued beyond sports cards. In 1999, he founded Meggamaxx with a mission to bridge the gap between society and the internet. Since then, he has continued building brands and platforms including MaxxMyBrand, PAIDIDEAS, and Dream Creative Space — the physical headquarters where his sold-out Pokémon and sports card show will take place.
Today, Christopher is bringing decades of hands-on industry experience into the next era of authentication through Next Frontier Certifications and NFC Authenticators. His operation includes professional equipment for grading and slab work, including an ultrasonic welder for sealing slabs and a Plexi bender used in the process of safely removing graded cards from holders. This gives him a rare understanding of both the physical slab process and the growing security issues facing the modern collectibles market.
With counterfeit slabs, copied labels, and outdated verification methods becoming a serious concern, Christopher is building the next level of authentication technology. His vision combines physical collectibles, secure NFC verification, digital records, and future tokenization to create a stronger bridge between traditional collectibles and next-generation ownership.
His broader ecosystem now reaches beyond sports cards into real-world assets, Apple history, gold, silver, memorabilia, and tokenized collectibles. Through Dream Creative Space, PAIDIDEAS, and the expanding Meggamaxx ecosystem, Christopher is helping create a new model where physical history can be authenticated, displayed, protected, and owned in a modern digital format.
On May 16th, Christopher will unveil the next phase of this technology through NFC Authenticators, introducing a forward-thinking authentication system designed to protect collectors, fight counterfeit slabs, and move the hobby into its next frontier.
Christopher’s mission is simple: protect the history, value, and authenticity of collectibles while giving collectors, dealers, and investors a more secure way to verify, own, and display real-world assets in the modern era.
A key inspiration for the technology came on April 4, 2024, in Palo Alto, California, during Daniel Kottke’s 70th birthday gathering. Kottke, one of Apple’s earliest employees and a longtime technology innovator, gave Longshore his first NFC tag and encouraged him to do something meaningful with it inside his collectibles business. That moment helped spark the direction now being unveiled through NFC Authenticators.
