Chicago, Illinois Aug 5, 2023 (Issuewire.com) - It's hard to make time to bring stories into the world. Getting started and moving through inevitable moments of blockage, too, is a challenge. The Office of Modern Composition invites you to its Fall Fiction Workshops, designed to alleviate these burdens by guiding you, feeding you snacks, and gently helping you to move your writing in its desired direction.
The Office of Modern Composition is launching its Fall Fiction Workshops beginning this September. The series is aimed at writers of all levels and will be designed to support short format, long format, and hybrid-genre fiction.
The Office of Modern Composition, a Chicago-based media and arts organization, is offering both Online and In-Person workshops. In-Person workshops will be held at the organization’s Loop office in downtown Chicago.
The workshops will run for 8 weeks and are designed to help writers achieve their personal writing goals amidst a supportive community. Through strengths-based feedback and craft guidance, writers of all levels will have their work thoughtfully considered by their peers as well as receive written critique letters from the instructor.
In-Person Workshops will be held on Thursdays from 5:30pm to 7pm, from September 14th to November 2nd.
Online workshops will be held over Zoom on Mondays from 5:30pm to 7pm, from September 11th to October 30th.
The cost is $485 for 8 sessions over 8 weeks.
Classes are capped at 12 participants so register soon to submit a brief writing sample and reserve your spot.
