The new airport transfer service should make car rental cars and airport transfers convenient, safe, and efficient for passengers. “We know that our customers want efficient, reliable, and luxurious airport transport, and this new service will help meet the needs of our growing client base,” wrote Mark Noble, Managing Director of Cheltenham Airport Transfer Company, on the company’s website. The company began offering car hire bookings through the popular Shipp Travel application in 2019. Since then, they have grown vastly in popularity and helped people achieve great travel experiences.
The new airport transfer in Cheltenham now has pre-booked availability for both Heathrow and Birmingham international airports. As the company’s website notes, customers can book transfers to and from the airports in advance and have the option to have their car washed and serviced from one of the default car wash locations instead of paying for additional services to clean cars or clear car stands. Additional fees apply to services that include booking a car, parking, and luggage storage. The service now supports four airport transfer options and will accept flights to and from Heathrow, Gatwick, and Birmingham airports. Currently, the vehicle service can be booked directly with the company or through a third-party partner. Transportation from the airport to the car service's “drop off” location is an additional cost that must be paid with the deposit. A typical return journey from ground level travel to or from the car wash can be 11 miles. A journey between the car wash and the destination is 7 miles, and a journey between the destination and the original car’s ground level trip is 3 miles.
There are many locations the vehicle can be serviced from, including full-service car washes, in-car washes, or car parking garages. Your personal chauffeur can provide assistance with parking your car or handling luggage. All other services such as porters are available on a case-by-case basis. “If you’ve ever had a stressful experience managing luggage with other people, you’ll know they can quickly become overburdened if they have to handle too many bags,” said Noble. “Our group of dedicated and experienced chauffeurs will get the job done and make sure all bags are safely delivered to and from your destination,” he added. All car services are wheelchair and mobility scooters accessible. To book a car and receive all the necessary paperwork to get your car washed, the customer must contact the company and schedule an appointment.
The airport transfer service will split passengers between the two terminals, offering a transformation of your journey between the main lines.
The service uses the latest in airport and car carrier technology which includes Departure Mode Data (DMX), Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL), Smart Way System (SWS), and AirPort security.
The airport transfer service will depart from Gateway A and linger inside Gate 6 at the main terminal for a minute. Unbeknownst to passengers, a separate car will be waiting at the other terminal for them at the end of the minute, also parked at Gate 6.
Public transit is available to secure your spot on the vehicle, while all bag checks are conducted. All luggage must be stowed out of the vehicle prior to the car leaving the terminal.
When boarding the car at the other terminal, the driver will be engaged to drive the passengers to their connecting flight and back.
Prices start from £250 for up to two passengers. A cashier’s check is required for any additional passengers. A weekly package deal is available for those who book larger numbers of trips during the week while a car park pass is also available.
The airport transfer service has just seven available weekdays and nine available on weekends.
