San Francisco, California Dec 12, 2024 (Issuewire.com) - OpenAI is currently changing the digital landscape around the world and the outage of its AI-powered tools can be a big issue. After an hours-long outage on Wednesday, OpenAI said that ChatGPT and Sora video generator have been successfully recovered. Earlier in a post on X, the company shared that their software developers were working on the ChatGPT assistant and Sora video generator for the programming interface in order to get over the downtime. ChatGPT has hit the mainstream market and this technology has already reached more than 300 million users each week.
On Wednesday, Apple came up with new versions of ChatGPT which are integrated with its devices such as the iPhone, Mac, and iPad. According to the report by the OpenAI status page, ChatGPT was down for a total of 4 hours and this happened after June when it was down for around 5 hours. OpenAI was valued at around $157 billion in October which also included the participation of Microsoft along with chipmaker giant NVidia. ChatGPT which started back in 2022 witnessed a meteoric rise in the tech industry which is astonishing considering the span of two years only. It is also the biggest success story in the business landscape that inspired the tech industry.
Previously OpenAI said that they would release Sora for everyone quite soon but it has become a tougher project now. The company will require more time to launch the video generator for global access of users. Sam Altman, OpenAI’s CEO, shared a post on X and wrote, “We significantly underestimated demand for sora; it is going to take a while to get everyone access.” Evidently, the launch of OpenAI’s next AI tool is already creating high anticipation in the market.
