CENTUS provided $10 million in funding to the nonprofit Basic Income Foundation.

Dover, Delaware Feb 18, 2022 (Issuewire.com)  - The CENTUS community, which operates the algorithmic stablecoin of the same name, will donate 1 billion tokens (≈ $10 million) to the Basic Income Foundation (Delaware, US), a nonprofit organization. The organization will focus its charter activities on universal basic income for its members and on fighting poverty and inequality.

Stable Cent (CENTUS) is the first stablecoin with a seigniorage-based universal basic income. Stablecoin implements an algorithmically governed approach to expanding and contracting a stablecoin’s money supply. 100 CENTUS ≈ 1 USD. The project launched in May 2019.
