Pittsburg, California Dec 13, 2019 (Issuewire.com) - Cleo W. Robinson Jr.’s Trails to and Tales of Sanderson, Texas is a literary work narrating what life is like in a small ranching and railroad town in Southwest Texas.
The book is filled to the brim with engrossing tales, exaggerated narratives, and personal accounts Cleo has heard and learned from Sanderson’s townspeople and local ranchers during his sojourn in Turner Hotel and Turner Café in Sanderson, Texas.
“Trails to and Tales of Sanderson, Texas was the best read I have had in a long time. His characters are amusing and well-developed (even the horses), his descriptions of the Big Bend area and the mini-Mafia who reside there are accurate to my personal knowledge, and his homage to the sentimentality of Harte and Henry are well-done. I would buy this book again in a minute and am looking forward to a sequel,” says Douglas Cearley, an Amazon customer.
Cleo, although born in a small town, was raised in Springfield, which is the third largest city in the state of Missouri. Having this as the case, Cleo desired deep understanding of what it’s like to live in a rural area. However, an immersion in Sanderson has satiated his hunger for firsthand involvement in a rustic life. He earned a Bachelor of Science in education, and a Master of Arts in International Relations from The University of Southern California. He currently resides in Omaha, Nebraska with his wife Carol.
