Sacramento, California Apr 30, 2020 (Issuewire.com) - This past Monday, Santa Monica based company BYTE, donated face shields to Sutter Medical Center Hospital in Sacramento. They continue to donate to healthcare centers across California in response to the growing need for face shields and ventilators for frontline healthcare professionals combating COVID-19.
Byte’s donations are being allocated to a number of other healthcare providers in California including Sutter Medical Center, Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara, Keck Hospital of USC, California Beaver Medical Group, Redlands Community Hospital, Clinica Monsenor, Orange Coast Memorial, Pomona Vista Care Center, Westside Family Health Center, Los Angeles Fire Department, and Highland Palm Health Care Center to help protect as many local medical teams as possible during this pandemic.
With locations in Ardmore, Oklahoma and Redlands, CA, byte’s digital labs and partner facilities currently produce high-quality invisible aligners, and feature over 150 3D printers. These printers are now being used to also make custom parts that are in short supply for healthcare providers across the country, including medical face shields, respirator valves and other supplies.
“During this unprecedented time, we want to do everything we can, in whatever way possible, to step up and contribute,” says byte co-founder Scott Cohen. “Every day, we hear of medical supply shortages across the country that are hindering medical professionals from doing their jobs, and we hope this initiative will alleviate some of these shortages.”
Byte is also committing to provide free tele-dentistry to anyone who needs assistance through its giving arm byteCares and via its network of 160+ licensed dentists and orthodontists nationwide to support the country in a virtual environment. In addition, Byte is offering consultations with its Chief Dental Officer Dr. Jon Marashi through a series of ongoing Instagram live streams.
