Businessman Jamall Robinson Announces City Council Bid

Stockton, California Aug 28, 2020 (Issuewire.com)  - Businessman Jamall Robinson is announcing his first race for public office. He’s vying for a City Council seat in the November general election.

The 34-year-old says now is the perfect moment for change. “Drug activity and prostitution need to be addressed, and I’d like to see the downturn of the empty building turned into shared spaces for young entrepreneurs to launch their businesses.”

Robinson says his campaign is fueled by his love for his community. “I believe Stockton can become known as the new Silicon Valley,” he says, “And we don’t need just another rich politician who promises to get us there.”

Robinson’s platform includes building affordable housing, reforming the prison system, overhauling the judicial system, and increasing job opportunities for minorities and people of color. “The jobs need to provide a fair wage, and they need to be attractive to young people,” he says.

The credentials Robinson brings to the table include a Bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Berkeley. He is CEO of I Rock Music, Inc., a music distribution company that’s also making its foray into app development and innovation. He also owns an international freight company, King Scorpion, which operates 40 trucks and trailers shipping freight and brokering cargo.

Robinson is also an established author, with his latest work, Chasing Joseph, a largely autobiographical work, featured on Amazon.
