Los Angeles, California Dec 18, 2018 (Issuewire.com) - President and CEO of Brotherhood Crusade, Charisse Bremond Weaver is this week’s featured trailblazer on The Blend Wednesday, December 19th at 7 p.m. EST/4 p.m. PST at www.facebook.com/theblendtalkshow.
Hosted by an upbeat panel of African-American female experts dedicated to optimizing overall health and wellness, the generosity-themed episode will focus on selflessness where Bremond Weaver shares how she’s giving back to the community, her blessings from God, and she goes beyond the surface to educate the audience on the rich history of Brotherhood Crusade.
Brotherhood Crusade, started by Bremond Weaver’s father, is an organization with a rich legacy for making an impact in the Los Angeles community. Their principal mission is to champion equality and equity by removing and helping individuals overcome the barriers that deter their pursuit of success in life and facilitate opportunities for a better quality of life via health and wellness, providing and enhancing educational opportunities, cultivating economic growth and building community agencies and institutions.
As President and CEO Bremond Weaver continues to follow her father’s generous footsteps by providing opportunities to underprivileged communities and so much more. She is carrying the torch and is the voice and vessel sharing the value of the foundation that was laid. Her definition of giving is about service. “It’s not about the dollars, she exclaims. “It’s about giving your time, talent and treasure.”
Because The Blend integrates mind, body, and spirit in every topic of every episode, it was a natural segue for spiritual faith builder co-host Jewel Diamond Taylor to ask Bremond Weaver how she uses spiritual practices to stay grounded. Weaver explains, “To wake up every morning with prayer.” She continues, “It is about your faith and your purpose and God blessing you to do his work. He uses me to do his work, and I’m spiritually fed by the blessings of the young students in college and college graduates who are coming back to work in the community.”
Brotherhood Crusade is celebrating 50 years of service. Bremond Weaver's goal was to raise 50K to commemorate the milestone. Instead, 2.5 million dollars was raised and the organization continues to receive grants from generous sponsors including 100K from U.S. Senator Kamala D. Harris.
