Bronx Escape Teams Up with NYC FIRST for Robotics Program

Bronx, New York Nov 10, 2025 (Issuewire.com)  - Following the tremendous success of its second season Bronx Escape, a
premier escape room destination known for its engaging and interactive experiences, is thrilled to announce a collaborative partnership with the NYC FIRST for its third season. This innovative initiative takes place at the historic Andrew Freedman Home, an iconic venue in the Bronx dedicated to the arts, technology and community engagement. The collaboration brings robotics and problem-solving skills to local students while fostering
creativity and teamwork through unique escape room challenges. Combining the thrill of escape rooms with the cutting-edge world of robotics, Bronx Escape and NYC FIRST offer a rich, hands-on learning experience that promotes critical thinking, collaboration, and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education. As part of this exciting initiative, Bronx Escape has provided students with the opportunity to design and build a series of interactive puzzles and challenges that incorporate robotic
elements. These projects have culminated in a showcase event where students have
demonstrated their creations and problem-solving prowess in front of peers, mentors, and
community members.

“We are excited to partner with NYC FIRST to bring this unique opportunity to the Bronx. This collaboration aligns perfectly with our mission to engage the community and inspire young minds through imaginative challenges,” says Bronx Escape Co-Founder, Rhonda James. “By blending robotics with escape room experiences, we hope to ignite passion for STEM and creativity in the next generation.”

“We are proud to support the next generation of innovators and problem solvers in the Bronx, especially through our partnerships with The Andrew Freedman Home and University Heights High School, whose students and school leadership came together with NYC FIRST staff and mentors to make this transdisciplinary project come to life, broadening and strengthening access, community and opportunity in STEM,” says Michael Zigman, CEO of NYC FIRST.
The collaboration at The Andrew Freedman Home will host a celebratory event on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 featuring demonstrations, hands-on activities, and opportunities to learn more about both the NYC FIRST and Bronx Escape.
