New York City, New York Jul 24, 2021 (Issuewire.com)  -  2X Former World  Heavyweight Boxing Champion Shannon "Cannon" Briggs and current MMA fighter and past q Light Heavyweight Champion Quinton "Rampage" Jackson have announced plans to fight Dec. 4.

Both contenders made this announcement about their “Super Fight” in mid-July as guests on an episode of “The Evening Experience Radio Show,” this is a popular and stellar show in online radio programming, this show can be heard on Instagram Live. . Each weekly program features host Mach 357 who interviews various celebrities, rising stars and professionals.

On the July 15, The Evening Experience brought together both champs

to talk about their histories, their fighting styles, and their rivalries with each other.

Shannon Briggs, who has held the heavyweight boxing title from 1997 to 1998 and the World Boxing Organization title from 2006 to 2007, started things off by saying that Quinton Jackson has a big mouth, and he’s finally going to shut him up.

His accomplishments include 60 wins in 68 fights, 53 of these by knockout. He earned a gold medal in the U.S. National Championships in 1992 and a silver medal in the Pan-American Games in 1991. He’s been one of the few boxers to earn wins over greats like George Foreman and Ray Mercer and is known for powerful punches.

Along with his accomplishments in the ring, Shannon Briggs has other star power: he’s had roles in action flicks like “Bad Boys,” “Transporter 2” and “Three Days to Vegas” plus videos for The Fugees and Thirstin Howl 3rd. He now has partnered with Applied Bioscience to promote Champ Organics, a line of CBD supplements.

Quinton Jackson is currently a free agent in the MMA community. He’s a former professional wrestler who transitioned into MMA. He’s fought in the heavyweight, light heavyweight and middleweight divisions. He’s had two kickboxing matches, that he’s won, 52 MMA fights which include 38 wins. He has also earned TV and movie credits, including being part of “ The A-Team” and a season of “The Ultimate Fighter” reality show.

Even though they’re from different fighting styles, both men regularly taunt each other over social media over who is the better overall fighter. Shannon Briggs has invited Quinton Jackson to see how he does in the boxing ring, a challenge he finally accepted.

Quinton Jackson has called Shannon Briggs “Grandpa,” “senorita,” and “old and ugly” and taunted him about being out of action for so long. Shannon Briggs also claimed that he tried to set up a fight with fellow former champ Mike Tyson, but Tyson declined.

Viewers are very interested in these fights between former fighters, such as the well-publicized bout earlier this year between Logan Paul and Floyd Mayweather deserves respect for trying.
