Singapore, Singapore Dec 14, 2023 (Issuewire.com) - The founder of Amazon, Jeff Bezos stepped down as the CEO of the company two years ago. For the past two years, he has gotten more into real estate. But later, the former CEO said that he wanted to put more effort into his rocket company named Blue Origin and that is why he has taken a step back. Recently, in a podcast, he said ‘I've turned the CEO role over, and the primary reason I did that is so that I could spend time on Blue Origin, adding some energy, some sense of urgency’.
Now Bezos has left his position as the CEO, but he is still the executive chairman of the company. Bezos also said in the podcast ‘When I was the CEO of Amazon, my point of view on this is, 'If I'm the CEO of a publicly traded company, it's going to get my full attention.' And it's just how I think about things. If he didn’t leave his job as the CEO, then he wouldn’t have been able to focus on his rocket company. And it is a fast company, which requires a lot of hard work and time.
Later he also continued ‘It was very important to me. I felt I had an obligation to all the stakeholders at Amazon to do that. And Bezos has also stated he ‘never worked harder’ as he has done in the Blue Origin. In the podcast, Bezos told to Fridman that ‘I am working so hard, and I'm mostly enjoying it, but there are also some very painful days…Most of my time is spent on Blue Origin and I'm so deeply involved here now for the last couple of years…And in the big, I love it, and in the small, there's all the frustrations that come along with everything.
Jeff Bezos founded this company Blue Origin in 2000 and it is a rival company that is competing with SpaceX and Virgin Galactic. They have also built three space vehicles, which are known as New Shepard, New Glenn, and Blue Moon. In the coming days, people are expecting more ventures from the founder of this company.
