Hermosa Beach, California Jun 18, 2020 (Issuewire.com) - This Thursday, June 18 from noon to 4pm Black Girls Surf and Tandem Boogie are presenting Demo Day, LA, an event introducing a bodyboard designed to allow two people to easily catch and surf waves together.
Boogie Boarding as a team sport provides a new and long overdue way for families, surf schools, and ocean enthusiasts to enjoy riding waves. Since traditional surfing can be difficult to learn, The Tandem Boogie experience allows anybody to quickly and easily catch a wave. Having two people on board doubles the fun, and the built-in camera mount allows it all to be captured on video.
Black Girls Surf is an empowerment and development surf camp for black girls wanting to pursue professional surfing. Established in 2014 for young girls/women surfers of the African diaspora. Black Girls Surf is training and coaching the next generation of surfers ages 5-17. They are changing the narrative for what it means to be a surfer worldwide.
Tandem Boogie is committed to making sure everyone can catch a wave and creating a supportive and strong community in the ocean. During the Demo Day event, for every Ten Tandem Boogie AIR boards pledged via Kickstarter, a board will go to Black Girls Surf to support their camps. All Kickstarter pledges via the following link from now until June 28, 2020, will count towards Black Girl Surf total: www.bit.ly/bgs-tandemboogie.
The public can sign up for the event by visiting www.tinyurl.com/bgs-demo or calling/texting (949) 558-8658. If in-person attendance is not possible, the event will be on Instagram Live, Thursday at noon, as the event happens on @tandemboogie.
