Las Vegas, Nevada Feb 9, 2022 (Issuewire.com) - BIG TECH, BIG TARGET!
Big Tech has a big target on its back. Particularly with the multiple government investigations focused on the business practices of each of the four Big Tech giants. Most of the recent antitrust scrutiny of Big Tech companies has been focused on their abuse of market-dominant positions in the areas of, pricing, search, advertising, and publishing.
More importantly, there are other areas where these Big Tech companies have been abusing their power to crush their competition, which is patents.
Hit The Streets (HTS) is a small tech company located in the state of Maryland. Founder and Owner, Max Lucas, is currently in discussion with a team of patent infringement attorneys regarding his 2018 patented mobile app. Which is being infringed upon by Meta/Metaverse, Universal Music Group (UMG), and several other companies.
“There is a problem with Big Tech, and the ability to compete as a small tech company,” stated Max Lucas. “We are asking Congress and the legal system to step in and stop this illegal business practice called infringement.”
Today, Big Tech Companies such as Meta/Metaverse and others infringe on small competitors’ patents because they figure by the time the small competitor has the financial wherewithal to challenge their illegal business practice via lawsuits, they will be in control of the market when it comes time to pay up.
"These dominant Big Tech companies disregard the Small Tech inventor’s patents because they are so powerful and arrogant, that they believe in infringing today, and paying tomorrow once they’ve reached domination in the market"
Big Tech companies are exploiting the enforcement system to extend their domination from one market to the next. “Greed, power, and money is Big Tech’s motivation,” stated Mr. Lucas. “HTS will not be bullied, nor infringed upon by Meta, UMG, or any other company that intends on continuing this illegal business practice.”
"WHG will keep an eye on this situation and find collaborative ways to move forward if an infringement is present," says Pierre Akin of WHG.
