Big Hearted Performers From Mexico, All With Big Talent, Are Coming Together On Saturday, December 11 For The Spirit Of Christmas Rock ‘n Blues Explosion Fest. The Event Will Raise Funds & Create Awareness For Street Animal Rescue In Mexico City And Mexico. It’s at Hobos Bar & Restaurant starting at 3:00 pm.
Isidoro Negrete Reynoso accepted our request to allow us to pay tribute to his 50 years plus of rock and blues leadership and excellence among performers in Mexico because he and his wife Susanna operate a small shelter from their home in Mexico City and know the problem first hand, said Fest organizer Bob Rempel
Evelyn Rubio, originally from Mexico City, is joining us from Houston, Texas her performing home base because she believes strongly in the cause. That says it all we believe. Steffie Beltt is one of Mexico’s finest voices and is recognized worldwide. They are joined by over 20 of Mexico’s best rock and blues performers, from Mexico City and the region. All-day and night Festival Passes start at a minimum of a 100 peso donation per person. Or more if possible. Preferred Front Section and Front Row Reserved Seating all Fest is 250 Peso and 500 Pesos donations per person respectively.

Funds Raised Will Be Directed To An Expansion Of A Small Animal Rescue Shelter That Isidoro Negrete Reynoso And His Wife Susanna Operate, And Other Projects Operated By Existing Shelters Or Veterinarians In Mexico City That Support Medical Treatment, Neutering, And Feeding and Shelter In Ways That Can Make A Sustainable Difference. Causes Recommended By Our Performers Or Our Strong Fans Are Given Priority In Assessment.
Almost all of the funds raised at the event will stay in Mexico City. Typically 75 percent of funds raised will be allocated to local projects and the remainder to support projects in other parts of Mexico where no Fest is held. In the case of December 11, 50 percent of the funds raised will be allocated to the expansion of a small Shelter operated by Susan Hernandez and supported by our Honored Guest Isidoro Negrete Reynoso, her husband. Approximately 30 percent will be awarded to other worthy projects, new or existing in the Mexico City region.
Tequila Rock ‘n Blues Explosion Fests, in conjunction with many more big-hearted big talent performers from Mexico, Canada, the USA, and elsewhere, will continue with an active Festival Plan for Mexico throughout the winter of 2022. Supporting tourism and offering tourism destination events and continuing to support Street Animal Rescue in each community that events are held.
“We want to do more for the Cause(s) we support, for Tourism, so we greatly expanded the number of weekend Festivals we are holding for 2021-22”, said Rempel.

Since 2018 when they started holding Rock ‘n Blues Festivals in just Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo, Mexico, and one previous event in Mexico City. Rempel said small profits from each event and generous fan donations have combined to raise close to 200,000 pesos at our events. All funds have been donated to the community at this point, with Covid 19 pandemic interrupting the fundraising. We have supported a children’s orphanage in our early years, now our Cause is Street Animal Rescue work for 2021 & 2022. Events are not for profit, and all organizers are volunteers.
