As an artist, Ballard tries to go beyond the usual conventions, he does not follow the flow of what you would expect from a musician-composer who makes a type of music that has the guitar as the "narrative voice”.
The technical component remains at a high level (never used in excess) but this time he chose to write a shorter song than the previous ones with fewer changes of scenery and with a simple and catchy theme. Every note has a specific purpose, always at the service of the arrangement. "Rebirth" is a combination of progressive rock, metal, and fusion, and the melody that guides the intensity of the piece is really suggestive, at times epic! Ballard is a master of blending numerous influences in the same composition, and this new track is another great combination of the different faces driving his music.
