Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh Aug 21, 2020 (Issuewire.com) - The World Forum for Education (WFE) along with Bharatiya Engineering Science & Technology Innovation University (BESTIU) organized an important dialogue on "Nation First" on the occasion of featuring prominent stakeholders including educationalists, Cultural organizations, industry experts, and policymakers.
The session started with Chancellor of BESTIU Dr. Rupa Vasudevan paying homage and saluting the Bravehearts sacrificed their lives for Bharat. Being the citizen of this country, she emphasized that it's our responsibility to build our nation of pride by doing pure deeds like helping our fellow citizens, reaching out to the needy, focus on knowledge, have a strong character and strength of mind. A responsible citizen is the one who values the nation and collectively we need to make India a country which is united, prosperous, peaceful, self-reliant and disciplined
Dr. Shrinivasa Varakhedi Vice-Chancellor of Kavi Kulaguru Kalidas University addressed the audience in Hindi and explained the values of Rashtra Dharma and how a nation is built by emotions. He quoted the Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru's answer on "Who is Bharat Mata" and the First prime ministers' words that the Praja (People of the country) is Bharat Mata to him. He also expressed the importance of understanding what is Akhanda Bharat and how it is based on the feeling and attachment for the nation.
Dr. Rivka Ofir Scientist at Ben Gurion University presented an anecdote on the relationship between Indian & Israel and how the sharing of traditional knowledge has helped in the fields of agriculture in the past. Dr. Ayla Dewi Aldjufrie Founder at WWLC, Indonesia spoke about how Indian is not just a person who is habitant of India, but it includes the people who contribute to its name from all over the world, she also presented solutions to common world problems with the empowerment of Women.
Ms. Sweta Subramanium MD of Global Icon, UAE was emotional in expressing how the tag of being an 'Indian' commands respect all over the world and also, mentioned the unity in diversity which is the culture of India. Mr. Shailendra Goswami, MD of Pushkarraj Group presented the techno-economic view of Nation first saying that being patriotic is important and our thoughts should be India centric in contributing towards making India a better alternative to China in terms of manufacturing and emphasized that we need to enable the infrastructure for the local companies in making this a reality.
Ms. Rekha Ramachandran of Founder and Secretary of Disha Bharat spoke about how the geographical boundaries of Bharat are like the human body and the soul is the culture. She emphasized that the culture and country are inseparable and the very meaning of Bharat that means a country that dwells in knowledge. She also spoke about the great Indian civilization that is still alive and cultural sustainability driven by leaders such as Dayanand Saraswati and Swamy Vivekananda is the reason.
Ambassador Dr. Alice Kamunge Ambassador of Peace, Water, and Sanitation for Kenya highlighted that Indian Independence was an inspiration for the people of Keyna in fighting against the colonial rule. She also spoke about the bravery and courage of the Gorkha Soldiers that is the pride of India.
Sh Bharat Lal Meena IAS (Retd) spoke about how we have diversified cultures in different parts of the country and how people recognize the places because of the cultures, he gave an example from the Ramayana on how it talks about different places from the Himalayas to Srilanka and covers entire sub-continent. He mentioned how the system is India works despite people seeing challenges in it and also emphasized on the duty of a human to inculcate the feeling of giving back more than what we have received from the society and richness of our culture that needs to be enriched further which can be only done when we put 'Nation First' and also mentioned how the BEST Innovation university is ensuring we produce good citizen with both innovation and value education. He also mentioned how the COVID pandemic took the world by surprise and how BEST Innovation University despite being a startup university has not missed a single class since the lockdown due to early adoption of technology with support from all stakeholders.
