New York City, New York Sep 18, 2025 (Issuewire.com) - The Spanish-Brazilian artist Séfora Camazano received the prestigious International Prize “Artists on the French Riviera” on September 12, awarded by the Fondazione Effetto Arte, in a ceremony held at the Musée National du Sport in Nice, France. This accolade, her third international award for artistic merit, further consolidates her trajectory within the European cultural scene.
With more than two decades of experience, Séfora Camazano has built a multidisciplinary career encompassing painting, photography, graphic design, and visual storytelling. Her work has been exhibited in renowned institutions such as the Valencia History Museum, The Westin Valencia Hotel, and the Botanical Garden of the University of Valencia, as well as at international fairs and galleries in cities including New York, Basel, Zurich, Palma de Mallorca, Berlin, Venice, Florence, Dubai, and Paris.
At the heart of her artistic practice lies an exploration of human dignity, resilience, and the transformative power of art—its ability to turn pain into beauty and silence into testimony. Among her most notable projects are Female Portraits: Migrants, presented at the Valencia History Museum, and Female Portraits: Looking Back to the Past, a collection inspired by Joaquín Sorolla that reinterprets history through the perspective of women who have overcome adversity.
Currently, the artist is developing “Portraits of the Soul: Transfiguration”, an ambitious project that seeks to connect biblical narratives with contemporary stories, bringing them to life through large-scale works. With this series, Séfora proposes a bridge between the sacred and the human, using painting as a universal language capable of fostering dialogue, reflection, and faith.
