Lancaster, California Aug 12, 2025 (Issuewire.com)  - Antelope Valley CERT Exercise Prepares Community for Disasters

The Antelope Valley Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), in partnership with the Los Angeles County Fire and Sheriff's Departments, invites all LA County CERT teams and graduates to a free, one-day, hands-on CERT Exercise on Saturday, October 4, 2025. The event will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Antelope Valley Fairgrounds, located at 2551 W Avenue H, Lancaster, CA 93536.

The exercise, designed to refresh and test crucial skills, will feature a variety of events including search and rescue, triage, treatment, and more. This is a critical opportunity for CERT members to practice and hone their abilities in a simulated disaster environment, ensuring they are ready to assist their community when it counts. Lunch will be provided to all attendees.

Interview and Media Opportunities:

Media are invited to attend and cover the event. Opportunities for interviews with CERT organizers, volunteers, and representatives from the Los Angeles County Fire and Sheriff's Departments will be available. B-roll footage will be available showcasing participants engaging in various disaster response simulations.
