With the new year comes new resolutions, and the Canada Multicultural Entertainment non-profit organization is resolving to promote and nurture the development of film and television in Canada.
Today we announce the launch of the Ontario International Film Festival, ONIFF, at the third-floor auditorium of the Barbara Frum Public Library at 20 Covington Rd., North York on Feb. 4 at 10:30 a.m.
The film festival will run from Oct. 19 to Oct. 22, 2020. The entry date for completed film submissions will open February 24 and close May 2. Categories for domestic and international films include the feature, short and documentary films of all genres. As well as student projects. ONIFF is destined to become a pioneer and catalyst for developing more talent and opportunities for future filmmakers in Ontario, and particularly those with diverse backgrounds or the marginalized.
The film festival will allow producers to network and meet with filmmakers, ONIFF, encourage diversity and provide the opportunity for people from different backgrounds to work together.
The founder and president of this non-profit organization and festival Rasha Asfur along with the Co-founder and the Executive Director Elaine Grant will address the goals and objectives of this multi-faceted film festival at the official launching.
The official launch will be followed by a question and answer period, lunch, and a social networking session.
