Dr. Gebetsberger currently serves as a Hospitalist at McAlester Regional Medical Center, where he has practiced since 2019. In this role, he manages adult patients with a broad range of acute and chronic medical conditions, utilizing a patient-centered approach that emphasizes individualized care, communication, and long-term wellness.
Prior to joining McAlester Regional Medical Center, Dr. Gebetsberger worked as a General Internist with Utica Park Clinic and also served as an Intensive Care Hospitalist at Saint John Hospital. These diverse roles allowed him to develop broad expertise in hospital medicine, outpatient internal medicine, and critical care management, treating patients with medically complex conditions across multiple healthcare settings.

Dr. Gebetsberger earned his Doctor of Medicine Degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine Internship at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics, followed by his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He also pursued additional training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, further strengthening his clinical foundation.
Beyond his clinical responsibilities, Dr. Gebetsberger has remained actively involved in academic medicine and healthcare leadership. He previously served as an Instructor of Internal Medicine at the University of Kansas School of Medicine and the Veterans Administration Hospital in Wichita. Over the years, he has held numerous committee leadership positions, including Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee Chair, while contributing to hospital quality improvement and medical oversight initiatives.
A Fellow of the American College of Physicians, Dr. Gebetsberger has earned recognition for excellence in teaching, leadership, and academic achievement. He has also demonstrated a longstanding commitment to community service through volunteer work with the Neighbor-for-Neighbor Healthcare Clinic and leadership involvement with the Alzheimer’s Association Oklahoma Chapter.
