Freeport, Texas Jun 18, 2026 (Issuewire.com) - Denise Ware, LVN, is a highly respected healthcare professional whose career reflects more than 36 years of dedication, adaptability, and compassionate service to patients across a wide range of clinical settings. Known for her expertise in phlebotomy and IV therapy, Denise has built a reputation as a dependable and skilled nurse committed to improving the lives of those in her care.
Denise’s journey in healthcare began as an OB Technician, where she discovered a passion for caring for others while working with newborns in the nursery. Encouraged by the nurses around her, who recognized her natural ability to connect with patients, she pursued nursing as a profession. She was accepted into Hill Country Memorial Hospital’s nursing program in 1988–1989 as one of only ten students selected for admission, marking the beginning of a distinguished career in nursing.
Following graduation, Denise joined Ascension Seton in Austin, Texas, where she dedicated 21 years of service. During that time, she spent 18 years working in the agency pool, an experience that provided exposure to numerous specialties and strengthened her clinical versatility. Her background includes caring for patients in trauma, plastics, orthopedics, neurology, cardiac care, Medical Intensive Care Units, Surgical Intensive Care Units, and emergency departments.
Throughout her hospital career, Denise pursued additional training in IV therapy and developed exceptional phlebotomy skills. Her ability to successfully perform difficult blood draws quickly became one of her defining strengths, earning the trust and appreciation of both patients and colleagues.
Since 2022, Denise has continued her nursing career at a nursing home in Fredericksburg, Texas, just minutes from her home. In her current role, she serves as the facility’s primary laboratory resource, frequently assisting fellow healthcare professionals with challenging blood draws, particularly among elderly patients with fragile or difficult-to-access veins. Her decades of experience continue to enhance the quality of care provided within the facility.
“What first drew me to nursing was working with babies in the nursery as an OB Technician,” says Denise. “The nurses I worked with recognized that I had a natural ability for patient care and encouraged me to pursue nursing school. Over the past 36 years, that passion for caring for others has only grown.”
She adds, “I truly love this field, and my dedication to helping others is what keeps me motivated after all these years.”
Driven by a genuine love for nursing and an unwavering commitment to her patients, Denise Ware continues to make a meaningful impact in healthcare. Her career stands as a testament to the power of compassion, expertise, and a lifelong dedication to serving others.
