Mumbai, Maharashtra Feb 5, 2019 (Issuewire.com) - 'Humanity First conclave' to promote interfaith Harmony week organized by Mumbai based Blossom Media Pvt. Ltd. The aim of the conclave was to foster and promote the spirit of communal harmony, national integration, and patriotism among citizens. The event was attended by religious leaders, political and business intelligentsia from various faiths.
Edgard D Kagan, US Consul General in Mumbai, extended his support to the event as the guest of honor and keynote speaker. In his note, he emphasized on the importance of loving neighbors by giving references of various religious scriptures.
The religious leaders participating in the panel were Moulana Siddiqullah Chowdhary - Gen. Sec. Jamiate Ulema-e-Hind, West Bengal and Minister of Mass Education and Library in Govt. of West Bengal, Giani Jaspreet Singh - Head Granthi Gurdwara Sri Guru Nanak Singh Sahib, Father Hanry Vaz – Rector Cathedral, deputed by Archbishop Bombay, Oswald Cardinal Gracia, Yezdi Panthaki a Zoroastrian Priest, Dr. Bhadant Rahul Bodhi - Head United Buddhist Mission) and Maulana Abu Zafar Hassan Nadvi Azhari. Other spiritual leaders from India spoke unanimously about the importance of interfaith harmony, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence.
Qaisar Khalid (IPS) – Inspector General of Police, Atika Farooqui - Creative Director Colors TV, Atul Agarwal Chairman MCHI - CREDAI presented their poetry on celebrating interfaith Harmony.
Sir Dr. Huzaifa Khorakiwala, CEO Wockhadrt Foundation and member of Mumbai’s prominent business family shared his works and views on interfaith harmony.
Concurrent to Humanity First Conclave, people working for society and harmony were honored with Mumbai Heroes award.
Twelve prominent NGOs from Mumbai participated in the event to extend their support to Blossom Media in spreading the message of peace and harmony.
The other highlights of the event were the distribution of harmony plant in the event reminding people of the importance of the environment and their service to mankind without discrimination. The concept of making friends from other faiths and pledge to work for interfaith harmony was a novel way to instill the feelings of belongingness.
The program concluded with harmony dinner which was very meticulously planned. The cuisines from various faiths were served to further strengthen the bond of interfaith harmony on the principle of 'if you dine together you will stay together'.
