Hyderabad, Telangana Oct 12, 2023 (Issuewire.com) - Ever imagined an Artificial Intelligence product being absorbed in nature, gazing at the clouds that ‘float over the vales and hills’, coming up with a poem ‘I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud’, just like William Wordsworth, or like Rabindranath Tagore being taken aback by human beauty composing ‘Manasi’?
Well, that is all possible now with the recent innovation from Hyderabad, India. AIPoet (available at https://aipoetofficial.streamlit.app/) is a new AI tool that can write seventeen different kinds of poems, including Epics and Odes about the surroundings and scenery if you let it look around through your camera. Even you can get yourself clicked to get a poem customized just for you.
The creator, Srijit Panja, a Machine Learning Engineer at Saras Analytics describes his app as a friend that will accompany users on road trips and document their moments as beautiful poems. “It is created to foster a relationship of trust between humans and AI. Amidst the current mechanistic developments in AI, it is important to not let a wall emerge between traditional human practices and modernization through AI. AIPoet intends to act as a bridge softly.”, he explains.
The mechanism of the app will soon be published as a research article emphasizing on AI ethics and data privacy. Upholding the democratization of AI, the source code is made public on GitHub. Transparency about data privacy is maintained via a ‘no user data storage policy’ as mentioned in the same repository.
On a technical walkthrough, Mr. Panja said, “The app uses Llama 2 Large Language Model, launched by Meta and GenerativeImage2Text from Microsoft. It is the focus on cutting edge tech stacks and innovation that is practiced in AI initiatives of Saras Analytics as well.”
“The app is equipped with high speed and therefore generates poems at minimal response time despite CPU-only computation. It has simplistic and minimalistic UI as one of its key features”, he added.
AIPoet has already been an official entrant to the Global LLM Streamlit Hackathon, September’23, hosted by AI players like Langchain, Clarifai, LlamaIndex, AssemblyAI and Weaviate and has been featured on Streamlit Apps Gallery. It is also hosted on HuggingFace Spaces, another popular venue for cool AI apps.
