He then went on to serve as an orthopedic surgery fellow at the University of Rome for 2 years, before relocating to the United States, where he was a Visiting Fellow of orthopedic trauma surgery at the NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases in 2002, before completing a fellowship in orthopedic trauma surgery at the University of Texas at Houston in 2003, and advanced surgical training in foot and ankle surgery at Saint Vincent’s Hospital in 2004.
Wanting to further his education, he completed a residency in internal medicine at the Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center in 2008, serving as Chief Resident in his final year. Finally, he completed his fellowship in rheumatology at the UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in 2010, before establishing his private practice.
As a testament to his continued education, the doctor is board-certified in rheumatology and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).
