Agora Restaurants Covid-19 Community Impact Update

District of Columbia, United States Mar 18, 2020 (Issuewire.com) - On behalf of our entire team, we want to personally thank you for trusting Agora in the Washington, DC and Northern Virginia area. Our dedicated management team is closely monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and its impact on our staff and our community.

In order to support our staff of over 100 people, and the children in the Washington, DC and Northern Virginia community, we are creating the following initiative. We are doing this to support the staff who have been adversely affected during this crisis, and to assist local children who may need access to food while their schools are closed.

Agora Tysons and Agora DC will donate15% of all carry-out and delivery sales to those in need until further notice. Ten percent of all sales will be donated to Agora DC and Agora Tysons employees who are experiencing hardship due to the reduction in services, and 5% of all sales will be donated to local charities in Northern Virginia and Washington, DC that support feeding at-need children during their school shutdown.

Agora Tysons and Agora DC will also freeze delivery services via Uber Eats and Doordash and offer delivery directly via its staff in order to help maintain employment during these uncertain times. Both locations will be open from 12:00 PM – 9:00 PM daily, with a limited menu available on their respective websites. As listed on our website, we are engaging in advanced cleaning protocols. Our customer's health and safety is a primary concern.

The Agora team asks for other restaurants in the local community, who are able, to initiate similar initiatives for its staff members and their families in order to provide them support during these unprecedented times in the restaurant community. Together let’s feed Washington, DC and Northern Virginia.
