Cairo, Egypt Jul 6, 2026 (Issuewire.com) - As part of its preparations to release its new musical work "Bejamalen" (With Beauty), Afaq Art Production is unveiling one of the project's elements: the voice of young artist Ziad Kamal, chosen by the company to perform this work, following the success of its first release, "Althulathia" (The Trilogy), performed by singer Mohamed Mohsen in 2023.
Ziad Kamal is a 24-year-old Egyptian singer, a graduate of the Faculty of Engineering — Mechatronics Department at Ain Shams University, who combines an academic engineering background with distinctive performances of authentic Arabic classical songs. His journey with singing began in childhood, when he took part in singing competitions at school and the educational-administration level. During his time at Ain Shams University, he earned national recognition through competitions, including second place in the nationwide Ibda3 11 competition and first place in the Dr. Ratiba El-Hefny Competition at the Cairo Opera House. Today, he performs with the Cairo Opera House and the Orchestra of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, while also appearing at prominent cultural salons.
Afaq Art Production chose this young voice to perform "Bejamalen," written and composed by Sheikh Abd Al-Ghani Al-Umari Al-Hasani, with orchestral arrangement and direction by Maestro George Kolta and Syncope Orchestra — a project that showcases the elegance and beauty of Arabic classical music. Afaq's renewed vision for music and singing is one that specialists will recognize, and no doubt a wide segment of the general audience will sense it too.
The music video for "Bejamalen" premiered on July 2, 2026, on YouTube — another step in Afaq Art Production's ongoing mission to bring elevated Arabic music to audiences across the Arab world and beyond and to encourage promising young voices.
