Dover, Delaware Sep 23, 2026 (Issuewire.com) - ACH by @alwayschoosehappy launches a cat harness leash designed to fit kittens as small as 1 lb through cats up to 20 lbs, addressing the biggest complaint cat parents have with harnesses on the market today.
ACH by @alwayschoosehappy today announced the Adventure Cat Harness and Leash Set, a purpose-built cat halter and leash designed from the ground up for the feline body, not adapted from dog gear. The set has been tested on more than 1,000 trail miles with zero reported escapes, and it's now available for kittens and adult cats alike.
Solving the Escape Problem
Most cat harness leash products sold today are simply dog harnesses resized and rebranded for cats. Because they don't account for how cats move, stretch, and twist, many cats often called "escape artists" slip out of them within minutes. ACH by @alwayschoosehappy was created to solve that exact problem.
The harness features a step-in design (no over-the-head struggle), an adjustable buckle-and-velcro closure system, and a secure fit engineered specifically to prevent the classic feline "Houdini" maneuver. It comes paired with a 10-foot wearable, fully customizable leash giving cat parents an escape-proof cat leash that works for hands-free hiking, backyard exploring, camping, or everyday walks.
A True Small Harness for Cats — Including Kittens
One of the most requested features from customers has been a genuinely small harness for cats. Many "extra small" harnesses on the market are still sized for 8–15 lb cats, leaving kitten owners with no good options. The Adventure Cat Harness closes that gap with a true XS size:
- XS kitten harness: fits cats and kittens 1–6 lbs
- S: fits cats 6–12 lbs
- M: fits cats 12–20 lbs
This makes it one of the few kitten harness leash sets on the market suited for harness training kittens as young as 8 weeks and as light as 1 lb allowing owners to start leash training earlier and more safely.
Built for Comfort and Visibility
Beyond fit, the harness is designed with a lightweight cat leash and breathable, weather-resistant materials so cats stay comfortable on long walks or multi-day adventures. Reflective strips are built into the harness for visibility during low-light and nighttime outings, and the adjustable chest and shoulder straps are designed to avoid the pressure points and chafing common with dog-style harnesses.
From One Frustrated Cat Parent to a Trusted Brand
The company was founded by Kaylin, known on social media as @alwayschoosehappy, after her own 1-lb kitten, Max, escaped every harness she tried. After years of testing different brands, sizes, and designs with no success, she set out to design her own one that has since been tested on dozens of cats from 1 to 20 lbs across more than 1,000 trail miles.
"Most cat harnesses are just dog harnesses rebranded for cats, which is why they often don't fit and cats can easily slip out," said Kaylin, founder of ACH by @alwayschoosehappy. "I designed this harness and leash based on five years of real hikes, backpacking trips, and everyday walks with my own cat. Your cat's safety and your peace of mind are what this brand is built on."
