Pittsburg, California Nov 12, 2019 (Issuewire.com)  - Author Hugo C. Songer participates in this year’s American Association of School Librarians book event with his acclaimed book, The Buffalo Trace to Tippecanoe: Purty Tom Montgomery & the Settlement of Southern Indiana.

The Buffalo Trace to Tippecanoe depicts the fascinating history of early Indiana frontier. In this book, Author Songer includes appearances of real historical figures, sparking the interest of genealogy among his local readers. He incorporates these esteemed figures in the story of Montgomery, his family, and his acquaintances that readers will see them as living, breathing characters more than the dry rendering history books provide.

The Buffalo Trace to Tippecanoe presents both sides of the conflict between early settlers and Native Americans, illustrating that neither side was all good or all bad. This book will be loved by local readers and history enthusiasts alike. Songer is a semi-retired judge whose interests include law, nature, history — particularly pioneer history — and American Indians. The author’s most recent book, Dufftown, portrays small-town life during the Great Depression and World War II.

Judge Songer’s work will be exhibited during the AASL 19th National Conference & Exhibition, to be held on the 14th to the 16th of November 2019 at the Kentucky International Convention Center, located at 221 S. 4th Street, Louisville, KY, 40202. You may meet him personally on November 15th at the Authorpalooza Signing Area from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. and at the Authors Press booth # 454 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. where he is signing copies, with free giveaways.
