Denise Latham wrote the first book in the series after her husband returned from Afghanistan and struggled to adapt to civilian life. The experience slowly evolved into a small-town romance that delved into PTSD, grief and single parenthood that kicked off the series and introduced fans to Windsor Peak.
Healing Promise brings readers back to the town with an established family, The Monahans, to follow their paths to happiness. The first in this series follows Finley Monahan, a nurse, and the doctor she works for in an oncology unit. Although they clash and can’t seem to get along as the book begins, circumstances bring them together and ultimately test their growing bond.

Denise Latham resides in Plymouth, MA with her husband, who is now retired from the Army, and their two sons. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Saint Michael’s College and describes herself as a lifelong bookworm.
