Pittsburg, California Nov 12, 2019 (Issuewire.com) - Cowboy on the Wrong Train follows protagonist Ty Grenshaw who lived on the Cal Grayson cattle ranch all of his eighteen years working as a ranch cowboy. His girlfriend Patti works for the Gully Real Estate Co., hoping to sell a ranch to antagonist Skeet whom she met when returning to the small town of Gully after visiting her parents. The story takes them to a restaurant when Sonny Calhoun is murdered there.
As the story progresses, Ty suspects cattle rustlers, finds a late calf, chases the trailer that might contain the bull that sired the calf, out of curiosity gets on the “wrong train,” and from there, becomes a kidnapped hostage. The riveting novel was written by Jeanne Ann Off then features an enthralling escape, facing his boss’s anger, the cattle auction where the antagonist buys cattle, a young girl living in the forest discovered by Ty and Patti, a court case where Ty is a witness, and a dreadful tragedy.
Jeanne Ann, renowned author of Acid and Bribery and From Homeless to Heaven, has a bachelor of science degree from Colorado State University and a Bible college degree from Faith Bible Institute. She also took a writing course from the Institute of Children’s Literature. She is married to her wonderful husband, Don Off, and sixty-second wedding anniversary in 2019. Both of them grew up on Western Colorado cattle ranches.
