New York City, New York Apr 21, 2020 (Issuewire.com) - Egypt Ufele, is a 14-year-old Designer, Anti-bullying Activist, Motivational Speaker, Youth Ambassador for the United Nations, Radio Host at Caribbean Power Jam Radio, Author, and CEO for Bullychasers NPO and Chubiiline LLC. Egypt kicked her sewing skills into gear as soon as she heard that there was a shortage of masks and protective gear for the front line staff and Essential Workers during the COVID-19 crisis. She knew that she could do her part, however small, to protect her family and friends working to save her family and friends.
Egypt’s journey began after being bullied. She channeled her pain into fashion and turned a negative into a positive then becoming the youngest designer to present an all-inclusive fashion line at NYFW at the age of ten. Up-to-date, Egypt shipped 1000s of custom made masks and bonnets across the nation and the orders are still coming in. Then she heard that the Landsdale Nursing Home in Philadelphia had no protective gear at all. She immediately got to work and delivered the custom gear and treated the weary staff to lunch.
Even with her studies at home, Egypt stated that she will not stop until she can do all that she can.
Egypt has been featured on most major platforms including Craines, Forbes, Vogue, Essence, ABC, NBC, CBS, Inside Edition, PopSugar, Refinery29, DailyMail, People Magazine, an anti-bullying campaign for Ford and most recently a feature as a Black History Month Trailblazer on NY1 and Access Hollywood.
