Due to his legal background, he started his career as a Tax Consultant at the age of 20 and after a short stint with Kirloskar and Eicher groups, joined KLM Royal Dutch Airlines at their office in New Delhi. Within a few years of joining KLM, he rose to the top position as Finance Manager for South East Asian Countries.
He was responsible for Finance, Human Resource Development and Automation for India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and the Maldives. He worked with them for 28 years and took voluntary retirement at the age of 51 as Head of Finance in order to take up even more challenging assignments.
During the 28 years with KLM, he was posted on short term assignments to various establishments of the world and was adjudged as one of the best managers globally. He played a crucial role in the financial decisions of the company including strategic alliances with Northwest Airlines, Jet Airways, Indigo Airlines, signing of Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement between India and Netherlands, creation of various software for their Head office at Amsterdam which was widely used and sold to other airlines. He was also instrumental in handling several complicated legal issues and International Arbitration's.
After leaving KLM to take more challenge, he started his own company to represent and advice various corporates in India and overseas by taking up their directorship. The companies represented include sectors of IT, Financial services, Event management, Infrastructure & Construction, Communication equipment, Security Products, FMCG Products, Paints & Chemicals, Commodity Trading, Education, etc.
He has been instrumental in various start-ups and successful operation of various companies in India and neighbouring countries. In addition to taking part in all senior-level decision making, he took an active role in financial management by a restructuring of Capital, arranging Equity or Debit and implementation of various projects.
Due to his assignments in various parts of the globe and very wide experience and expertise, he has the exposure to various financial methods and corporate cultures existing in various parts of the world. He has very strong relationships with various Authorities and global corporate houses including Banks, Financial Houses and Governments.
Now he has a total of 45 years of experience at top management level in handling various financial and corporate decision making. He has developed excellent contacts all over the world and has the ability to promote any product and arrange international tie-ups on various areas of business.
