USMC Veteran, Earl Reginald Stevenson, passes away in South Africa

Death of a USMC veteran, Earl Reginald Stevenson in South Africa.

KwaZulu Natal, South Africa Jun 14, 2022 (Issuewire.com)  - Earl Reginald Stevenson died of natural causes in Durban, South Africa in 1988.

He was a USMC veteran who served in the USMC for several years while living in the United States and in Southern California in the 1970s and 1980s. He was originally from Durban, South Africa where he was born on July 7, 1959.

Several publications and news agencies in Southern California and the Los Angeles area covered his military career and published news items about him in the 1980s, while he lived there.

He and his wife, Denise Carpenter, had two sons, Wyatt and Ethan, and a daughter, Kimber, at the time of his death. During this time, his South African and American families requested seclusion as they reflected on his life. 

A celebration of his life was held in Durban for family and close friends. 

The funeral and ceremonies were held privately for the family in the church in the city centre of Durban where they regularly attended worship services.
