Prolific Author Credits Vision for Healing Methods Found in New Book

Book professes self-love as the best method for spiritual and mental wellness

Los Angeles, California Mar 26, 2019 (Issuewire.com)  - Shaman and spiritual teacher Nancy L. Harris’s latest self-help book, “Invasion Revealed: Healing Alcoholism, Mental Illness & Drug Addiction” explains, from a spiritual perspective, how the physical world affects people’s thought processes. She contends that people fall prey to alcohol, drugs, mental illness, and other vices because of the “unintentional neglect” of the body’s spiritual side.

Harris revisits her personal experiences and explains how she arrived at her own coping method. She lost her father to alcohol addiction, and her spouse and two sons to drugs. Her mental health was unstable — therapists and prescriptions did not help. It was only from a powerful vision that she realized the way to save herself.

Barbara Bamberger Scott of US Review of Books quotes the author in her summation of the book, “thinking ‘I love myself’ is the best medicine you can ever take.” The review also mentions that while the book is short with only 49 pages, “it can be a starting place for the determined few.”

Authors Press will showcase “Invasion Revealed: Healing Alcoholism, Mental Illness & Drug Addiction” at the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books to be held at the University of Southern California campus this coming April 13 to 14, 2019. Harris’s book will be exhibited at Authors Press’ booth number 937.  Readers from all ages, including filmmakers and movie producers, will get an exclusive preview of her work during the festivities.
