Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh Oct 11, 2018 (Issuewire.com) - Smoke-free kitchen - a long dream for many households in masses is getting turned into reality. Under the guidance of legislator Sushil Kumar Tiwari Indu, the ‘Prime Minister Ujjawala Yojna (PMUY)’ is reaching masses where a free gas connection is being distributed; with one sole purpose of relieving the women from a kitchen full of smoke while they cook food.
Talking to our reporter Mr Sushil Kumar Tiwari Indu said that the Ujjawala Yojna, an initiative by the centre, is helping the masses of this country to receive free gas stoves. Being an agricultural country many rural households still use the ancient technique of cooking food which involves the use of wood and kerosene, which makes the cooking task more tedious for the women doing it.
This initiative has stemmed from our Prime Minister - Mr Narendra Modi’s personal experience when he was younger; as he too saw the women in his family suffer through this pain of a mealtime full of smoke in the kitchen. With the Ujjawala Yojna he has given a gift of better eyesight to the women of this country where they could cook food in a smoke-free kitchen thus, saving them from the severe eyesight problems caused due to that smoke.
