Pandemic Divorce Law Seminar :

Leving attorneys lecture on strategies for winning divorce cases during court closure

Chicago, Illinois Jun 22, 2020 (Issuewire.com)  - The Law Offices of Jeffery M. Leving Ltd. will host the next presentation of the Arthur S. Kallow Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Seminar Series via Zoom on Wednesday, June 24, at 6:30 p.m. from 19 S. LaSalle St. in Chicago.

Attorney Arthur S. Kallow, a nationally known matrimonial litigator with a record of successful litigation, will lecture on: Strategies for preparing clients to successfully deal with guardians ad litem and child representatives during the pandemic. “It is critical that attorneys learn how to effectively prepare their clients for dealing with guardians and child reps. The relationship that the client develops with a guardian or child rep can be crucial in the judge’s ultimate decisions in the case,” said Jeffery M. Leving, founder and president of the firm.

Attorney James M. Hagler, a highly respected and skilled divorce lawyer, who has been recognized as one of the best divorce lawyers in the country, will present on: The effective use of emergency petitions for temporary restraining orders and petitions for summary judgment in divorce cases.  In addition, Hagler will educate on requests for declaratory judgments, particularly regarding pre-marital agreements. “The strategic use of these petitions is a powerful tool for winning family law cases," Leving said.

Leving expects divorce filings to soar once court reopens, as couples who were cooped up during the lockdown, without access to court ordered counseling or therapy, decide they've had enough of each other. "It happened when the lockdown ended in China, and it'll happen here," he said. "Lawyers have to be prepared. "

The presentations will be followed by a question-and-answer session.

The Kallow CLE Seminar Series, which began in 2014, provides legal education to family law attorneys and other professionals looking to expand their legal knowledge. CLE credit will be awarded.

Please make reservations for this Zoom seminar by emailing Jennifer Whiteside (jwhiteside@levinglaw.com), as this program is close to its capacity.
