Tucson, Arizona Mar 24, 2019 (Issuewire.com) - Sally A. Allen tackles the universal lessons of rejection and belongingness in her new children's book “The Tail of the Christmas Cat.” The story follows the adventures of Whiskers — a ring-tailed cat shunned by his companions for looking different.
In the book, he gets adopted by Santa Claus after the twelve other cats he lived with rejected him for his odd appearance. Although Whiskers enjoys helping Santa deliver gifts, he still feels lonely — he misses the cats and his home. Will Whiskers get to see them again? Will they finally accept him when he comes back?
The story is inspired by the author’s life experiences. Allen loves to write fiction drawn from her own daily encounters with the company of her adorable schnauzer named Sibby.
Allen had a meet-and-greet session at the Tucson Festival of Books held at the University of Arizona Campus last March 2 to 3, 2019. She signed copies of her books and interacted with festival goers and publishing professionals at the Authors Press’ booth.
