Vancouver, British Columbia Nov 21, 2019 (Issuewire.com) - On Saturday, November 30th, 2019, The Muslim Foodbank and Community Services Society (“MFBCS”) will be hosting a fundrasing charity show at the Michael J. Fox Theatre in Burnaby, BC. The event aims to engage the local community and showcase the vital work that is being done by MFBCS.
The organization hopes to combat issues of food security on a local level. Every month MFBCS provides food to around 3,000 individuals. In addition to this, the organization also provides case management through its ASPIRE program which provides clients with educational, employment and community support with the goal of promoting self-reliance.
This year’s charity show will be fundraising to fight hunger in our local community. The show will feature live performances from both Ayub Salahuddin and Yahya Hawwa (Syrian). Both internationally acclaimed singers use music as a way to talk about social issues which aims to inspire their audiences to create positive change in their communities.
