Miami Valley Hospital is passionate about providing the most recent medical advances and the latest technology to residents of southwest Ohio - meeting the region’s medical needs today and into the future. Since its founding more than a century ago, the Hospital has remained dedicated to its vision of building a healthier community.

One of Michael’s areas of expertise includes intensive care. Intensive care refers to the specialized treatment given to patients who are acutely unwell and require critical medical care. An intensive care unit (ICU) provides critical care and life support for acutely ill and injured patients.

In regards to his nursing background, Michael has trained student nurses in CC rotation at Kindred Hospital. He has also trained student nurses from Cedarville in the Trauma Step Down Unit.

Michael was recognized as a Novice of the Year at Kindred Hospital. He was also nominated for the DAISY award, which was established to celebrate the extraordinary compassion nurses provide their patients and families every day.

When he was in high school, Michael was unsure of his future career choice. So, he decided to take an aptitude test, which showed a 97% likelihood that he should go into and would succeed in the medical field. After he saw the results, he couldn’t see himself doing anything else. The reason he chose nursing over other careers in healthcare is the hands-on work and the time spent caring and helping patients.

Michael received his Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) from Sinclair Community College in 2014.

Michael is certified in both Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS - not intended for postnominal use)
