Dr. Caldwell worked in private practice for several years out West. She also served as an Assistant Professor and Researcher at Penn State in Hershey, Pennsylvania (2012-2018).
Dr. Caldwell grew up in the south hills of Pittsburgh. She graduated from Penn State with degrees in Pre-Medicine, History and Medieval Studies with double honors in History and Health Administration & Policy. Thereafter, she went on to complete her medical degree at the University of Cincinnati, followed by her residency in anesthesiology at the University of Michigan and her fellowship training in pain medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center. She also completed an internship in internal medicine at St. Joseph Mercy Livingston Hospital in Howell, Michigan.
